Several years ago when I was on FakeBook, I came across a post from this fire breathing, voice squeaking, tears rolling down her face marketer who is aggravated.
Aggravated.
By the fact that people have the nerve to send her marketing messages to provide her with more value with what she bought.
The nerve of us marketers these days.
She goes onto say that she was horrified.
Horrified!
At the amount of emails she got from said company (they only sent 3 emails for the entire promo) to help her increase sales on the platform she is currently using.
I would know.
I also got those same emails.
And although I did not buy what they was selling (did not need it) I still got value out of the webinar they put on which leads into today’s very important lesson.
If you are going to cry about getting marketing messages and you claim to be a marketer then just leave and go get a jobby job working for someone who does not value you enough to even want to give you a 10 cent raise.
In other words;-
Don’t be THAT marketer who complains about getting marketing messages.
