A few weeks ago someone in the “wait loss” vertical wrote and said:

I’m trying to get my email marketing campaign off the ground. I’m in the weight loss vertical. I’ve written a 52 week autoresponder series but I don’t know how to create emails that sell.

I’ve read that there’s two options: soft selling (story telling) and hard selling (eg discounts, coupons, etc).

Where can I find soft selling email templates? Do you have any examples that I can use?

I would like to sell clickbank products.

Thanks

Wait a sec.

So this chap here wrote a 52 week autoresponder series and didn’t write a single email selling anything?

Yes, that is exactly what he did.

Someone in an IM forum told him to follow the Pareto Principle when it comes to email, stating that his emails should be 80% content that is helpful advice to give his subscribers and the other 20% is selling.

Call me ruthless, but I sure hope YOU yes, YOU don’t follow that advice.

Since one reading it can easily think of doing the following;-

Send 8 emails that are pure content.

Send 2 emails that are selling.

Only 2 chances to sell your audience something that can help them lose the poundages.

What is even more interesting…

Almost every guru marketing eggspurt I know who has done this had to find out real quick that it is a terrible idea.

Sure it works for some but not all.

I suggest you do the opposite.

Spend 80% of your time selling and the other 20% delivering content.

For the how-to on how to do it the way I teach, you’ll want to hop in the Inner Circle:
