In a certain forum I came across a thread of someone who is asking the following:
“How many clicks should I buy to test a vendors affiliate landing page and then how to calculate conversions?”
Hate to say but this OP is about to make a mistake that will literally cost him thousands.
Why?
Easy.
A Vendors affiliate landing page.
Something he would have no control over in the grand scheme of things, and would really suffer if it didn’t perform well.
The OP then goes on to say that getting a 25% opt-in rate is high?
Which tells me that this Vendors page probably isn’t converting — since he didn’t mention the Vendor or the offer being promoted.
In an ideal world, you would send them to your own opt-in page or sales page at least then you can tweak and make changes to the page in order to get more leads and make sales.
But sending it directly to a company based landing page with no control?
Nah, I’ll pass on that.
