Several years ago now I made the decision to stop doing affiliate marketing.

And when I say stop I mean that.

Just went cold turkey.

Which was like taking an income of $3k per month down to zero.

However, one thing I did have is an email list.

So it was just a matter of creating offers that my list wanted and telling them about it every day.

Fortunately, it didn’t take much time and I was easily able to replace that affiliate income in less than 30 days.

As far as why I got out…

A few reasons come to mind;-

1 – Vetting offers

This took the bulk of my time since I would personally review every single offer before telling my list about it, going through the sales funnel, reviewing the content, seeing what worked what didn’t, etc.

Back then it was bad.

Most offers pretty much required you to buy the upsell to get the main thing to work.

Or worse…

The main thing didn’t have any actual “content” in it.

Just sales videos promoting other offers.

(and I’m not kidding about that either)

2 – The actual numbers behind making it work

Say you got 50 percent commissions on 100 bucks.

So you get paid 50 for every sale right?

To make that 3k one would need to make 60 sales.

Not including upsells or downsells either.

But on the Vendor side of things only 30 sales would be needed, plus one can increase the price to say $500 and now only 6 sales are needed.

If you keep going down the rabbit hole of affiliate marketing like most folks do you’ll quickly begin to see what is required to break even on ads, let alone making a profit.

Lucky for you, I do that for you in this month’s issue of the Isaiah Jackson Letter.

It goes live on the 15th.
